Our story
For over 60 years, Yelloh! Village Les Grands Pins has lived to the rhythm of the ocean and the generations that have shaped it.
It all began in the 1960s, when Mr. and Mrs. Mouzard welcomed the first campers to a plot of land nestled among the pine trees of Lacanau Océan. At that time, guests pitched their tents in the forest and gathered at the small grocery store or the family-run bar.
The second generation, Mr. and Mrs. Dorkel, modernised the campsite: construction of roads, renovation of sanitary facilities, creation of playgrounds, a tennis court, and pitches with electricity for caravans. Holidays took on a new dimension.
In the 1990s, the third generation, Pascal and Karine Fenié, gave new momentum to the campsite: installation of the first mobile homes and construction of the first swimming pool. This was also the beginning of environmental initiatives, crowned by the Green Key label in 1999.
Today, the fourth generation, represented by William Fenié, continues the family spirit while developing new projects: 5-star classification in 2012, expansion of the water park, creation of the Zen Space, development of a large sports area, and new premium accommodations – all while preserving the DNA of the campsite and its strong commitment to the environment, recognised by the European Ecolabel.
From the first tent pitched among the pines to a renowned 5-star campsite, Les Grands Pins is above all a story of family, passion, and attachment to Lacanau Océan, passed down from generation to generation.
