« Camping ben tenuto, ordinato e bagni molto puliti. Pecca: manca una palestra. Unica menzione negativa per il food corner, in cui a quanto pare dopo le 21.15 non c’è più cibo… Di seguito quanto successo: Dopo aver fatto 15 min di coda per delle pizze al food corner, mi è stato detto che le pizze erano finite..(come è possibile che finisca una pizza??), comunque mi è stato detto di prendere qualcosa all’altro food corner. Sebbene di malavoglia, anche lì, dopo aver ordinato degli hot dog, mi è stato detto che erano finiti… Insomma alle 22 tornavo nella piazzola e mi sono messa a preparare cena. »

« Overall, this Yelloh Village Les Grands Pins campsite in Lacanau Ocean has much of what you would expect of a very expensively-priced campsite - it is in a lovely forest setting, near the beach, is very clean & well maintained, has excellent pool areas, pleasant staff, bar, restaurant and a well stocked shop. There is a nice adult only "zen" area with pool & cafe for those who want a kid-free environment for a few hours. There is a remote working space but no AC in the office space and it gets very hot for anyone trying to work in what is essentially a glass box. Our kids went to the kids club and really enjoyed it, and again, the staff seemed very pleasant. This 3 star review is really a warning for anyone considering booking a "premium" mobile home / cottage. For full information, we stayed in what is called a "Cottage Dune premium" mobile home - number DV466 - for 2 weeks in July 2026. We were lucky that we were gone just before the wildfires started in the area but really hope that all the staff and campsite itself are ok. The "premium" mobile option is very misleading in that, unlike any "premium" mobile on any other campsite we've stayed in over the years, you do not get air conditioning, you do not get a barbeque, you are not guaranteed car parking beside your mobile or you do not get a larger site. You do get a slightly larger mobile home, but honestly that's the only difference from booking a standard mobile home, along with having towels & sheets provided! You also get a covered decking, but most of the mobiles appeared to have this anyway. If you are booking this campsite, book a standard mobile home, do not waste money on a premium one. Again, to emphasize, the overall campsite is very pleasant - my issue is more to do with what I feel is a misleading advertising of their "premium" mobiles. It's not the campsite being eco-friendly not offering BBQs, but instead a financial one as you can rent one for €50 a week if you wish. Also, Reception does have AC, so it's not an environmentally-based policy. From what we can see, the standard mobile homes in general are situated on slightly larger sites and most seem to have parking beside their mobile. We had barely enough room outside for our 4 bikes and had to park in the main car park by Reception which was a pain when you have shopping, bottles of water etc to carry in. It really is a pity as overall , the campsite and staff in general is very pleasant. I do feel that the advertising & pricing of the "premium" options is very misleading however. We would have to seriously consider before returning again given the prices. This is the first time we have felt this way about any of the previous 4 French campsites we have stayed in over the years. Again, overall campsite facilities were excellent, a lovely setting, nice staff but do NOT be fooled into booking a premium mobile home as there really is nothing worthwhile extra that you do not get in a standard mobile home here on this site. I have given this feedback to the campsite management also. »
